Great when it works but needs polishing. I stayed within 15 feet of the control unit, had fresh batteries in the unit but still it would lose connection so I had to light the last quarter of my show by hand. For the most part the unit and igniters are high quality just be prepared to step in if the unit disconnects. It would be nice to be able to "name" the cues manually, I build my own racks. Maybe add the ability to link two or more cues for finales so you can just swipe once to set off two cues.
Shot multiple shows from the app and module, everything went great with no problems. Very simple to use, don't over think it. Only took 20 minutes to build my show in the app with a song. Saved it and shot it the next day. The only thing that would make it better is adding more of Winco's products...
Shot off a 15 mortar battery without a hiccup. I set up a Rammstein song and used the device/app to detonate accordingly. I was really impressed that the device compensated for the fuses burn time and it launched on queue. 5 out of 5 stars.
Love the technology in this device, since it's only 15 ques I did a beginning show for my 4th shoot with the FireFly. It worked great and the song and shots were sync'd great easy math to do this. I did a second show with the device and did have a few problems but some was my fault, I should of cleaned the connectors from the first shoot and changed the batteries. Use the good batteries and not cheap ones, the cheap ones don't maintain as well as the higher priced ones. One of my long leads did break after the second shoot, the coil fried, but I saw on line you can buy replacements now at a cheap price. I wish the Bluetooth was a bit stronger so I could stand back some but anyway you look at it i was not hand lighting at least, would really like to have the ability to have more than one device per phone/tablet so I could create larger shows. I would also like to have the ability to input different brands of fireworks with fuse times and store them in a database like the winco products. Overall, I love the product, few more tweaks here and there but still had great success.
Not good. Tried 14 fireworks. All the same but only 4 fired. The app said during but nothing. Sometimes it would say firing and sometimes it won't. Reconnected the ones that didn't fire and tried again. Nothing. Tried different type of fuses. Some times it works and sometimes it doesn't. The app is really bad. Slide to arm and push to fire. Doesn't always work. Took 30 minutes to fire 3 fireworks. Waste of time. I ended up returning. Distance was only about 20 feet. App and product not ready for release.
Great app, great product, but terrible permissions and privacy policies. It is a simple Bluetooth firing module, it should not require signing up for an account, giving them your name, e-mail, birthdate, GPS precise location access, and so on. Literally none of those are necessary to send a simple "light fuse 6" command to the box. And the app does not work if I manually revoke permissions. Unacceptable in today's climate of endess data breaches of peoples' personal information. Would give 5 stars if not for these issues. Edit: Sincerely appreciate the reply. I think all that information is overkill just to attempt to stop someone under 18 from using it, which it wouldn't do anyway. Ample warnings on first launch would suffice.
