Tithika works out the North Indian panchang from the sky for each place you keep, from that place's own sunrise. Each day answers first: its festival or vrat with the muhurat, the shubh muhurat and the times to avoid. Then every value comes with a picture of why.

TODAY, FOR EVERY PLACE
• The day's festival or vrat, with its puja muhurat or moonrise
• Shubh muhurat: Brahma Muhurta, Abhijit Muhurat and the good choghadiya
• Times to avoid: Rahu Kaal, Yamagandam, Gulika Kalam and Dur Muhurtam
• Now and next: what is in force and what comes after it
• Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana, with the time each one ends
• Sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset; purnimanta and amanta months
• Choghadiya by day and night, and the whole day from Brahma Muhurta to the next sunrise in one drawing

TAUGHT VISUALLY
Every value answers its own question, such as "Which tithi is today?" or "When is Rahu Kaal today?", with a picture: the Moon's angle from the Sun that makes the tithi, the day in its parts, the months by the new and full moon. When a tithi is skipped or spans two sunrises, Tithika shows you why.

FESTIVALS AND VRATS BY THEIR RULES
Festivals and fasts are worked out by their traditional rules for your place, so the date and the muhurat are right where you live, with the reason that day was chosen. Diwali, Dhanteras, Govardhan Puja, Bhai Dooj, Chhath, Karwa Chauth, Dev Uthani Ekadashi and Kartik Purnima also tell their katha and their puja vidhi and samagri, and each fast its rules, with their sources.

No account and no sign-in. The places you add are kept on your phone; to work out a place's panchang, only its area, about 10 km across, goes to our server, and a security check confirms the request comes from the genuine app or a real person.
