Tixmojo Barcode Scanner App – Usage Policy
This document outlines the key functionalities and operational guidelines of the Tixmojo Scanner App, developed exclusively for event check-in management by authorized staff.
1. App Launch and Login Flow
Upon launching the app, the splash screen displays basic information about the Tixmojo Scanner App.
After approximately 3 seconds, users are directed to the login screen.
Users must enter valid credentials to access the app. Only authorized personnel are allowed to log in.
2. Event and Ticket Access
After successful login, a list of active upcoming events will be displayed.
These events are linked to ticket data, each containing scannable barcodes used for entry validation.
3. Ticket Scanning Methods
The app supports two modes of barcode scanning:
a. Manual Check-In/Check-Out
Tapping on an event reveals a buyer list view showing attendee information and barcode details.
Staff can manually check-in a ticket by tapping the green "Manual Check-In" button. Upon success, the app displays a confirmation message, and the button turns red.
To check out a user, tap the red "Manual Check-Out" button. A confirmation message will confirm the check-out action.
b. Camera-Based Barcode Scanning
Using the device’s rear camera, the scanner automatically reads barcodes.
On successful scan, the ticket's status is updated in the database (from 0 to 1) along with user information and ticket type.
This confirms that the attendee is checked in and permitted to enter.
4. Duplicate Scan Detection
If a ticket has already been scanned, the app will display a message:
"You have already entered."
5. Payment Handling
No payment processing is conducted through the scanner app.
The app’s sole purpose is to update the scan status of a ticket (from 0 to 1 for check-in, and vice versa for check-out).
6. Ticket Compatibility
The app is compatible only with tickets issued via Tixmojo.com.
This app is intended strictly for event staff and entry gate personnel. For purchasing tickets or attending events, users should visit the official website.
