AccessibilityService Disclosure To function, TaskGate uses the Android AccessibilityService API. This is used only to detect when user-selected apps are opened and to display a task screen before the app launches.
AccessibilityService is used exclusively for:
• Detecting launches of apps chosen by the user.
• Displaying a TaskGate screen before the app opens.
• Supporting focus, screen time, and digital wellbeing features.
TaskGate does NOT:
• Read app content.
• Capture keystrokes.
• Monitor user activity.
• Modify system settings.
• Access personal or sensitive data.
AccessibilityService is optional, disabled by default, and enabled only with explicit user consent.
