Quick Recorder adds the one thing Android's screen recording is missing: a genuinely fast way to start. Add the Quick Recorder tile to Quick Settings, and recording is a swipe-down and a tap away from any app - the closest thing Android has to iOS's Control Center screen recorder.

ONE-TAP RECORDING
Add the tile once. From then on: swipe down, tap Screen Record, confirm the system permission dialog, and a 3-2-1 countdown gives you time to switch to whatever you want recorded before capture actually starts.

STOP WITHOUT LEAVING WHAT YOU'RE RECORDING
The recording notification shows a live timer and stops the recording the moment you tap it - no need to reopen the app and hunt for a stop button, which would put the app itself into your recording.

OPTIONAL MICROPHONE
Record your voice over the screen capture, or leave it off for a silent recording. Your choice is remembered for next time.

SHOW YOUR TAPS
Turn on "Show taps while recording" and every tap is highlighted on screen for the length of the recording - useful for tutorials and walkthroughs. This mirrors Android's own Developer Options setting and restores it afterward; on some devices it must be turned on manually instead, and the app tells you when that's the case.

YOUR RECORDINGS, ON YOUR DEVICE
Every recording saves straight to your device's Movies folder. Play, share, or delete any recording from the list in the app - nothing is uploaded anywhere, because this app doesn't talk to any server at all.

WHAT'S FREE
Your first recording is free, with a small "Quick Recorder" watermark in the corner. A subscription removes the watermark and the recording limit entirely.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in the Google Play Store. Payment is charged to your Google Play account on confirmation of purchase.

PERMISSIONS, PLAINLY
• Screen recording - the core feature; you approve it via Android's own system dialog each time.
• Microphone - only used if you turn on the mic toggle.
• Notifications - shows the recording status and timer.
• Display over other apps - only used to draw the small free-tier watermark; the app is not a floating bubble or overlay tool.
• Modify system settings - only used to toggle "Show taps" on and off around a recording, if you enable that feature.

None of these are used for anything else, and nothing your microphone or screen captures ever leaves your device unless you personally choose to share a recording.
