About this app

eDispatch Lite is the driver app for the TMS-eDispatch platform, built for
carriers whose drivers should not be located continuously.

It gives you the same day-to-day workload as the standard eDispatch app —
your assigned shipments, stop updates, proof of delivery and signatures —
with one deliberate difference: your location is never recorded in the
background.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• See the shipments assigned to you, with pickup and delivery details
• Record arrival at and departure from each stop
• Capture proof of delivery — photographs and documents
• Collect recipient signatures on delivery
• Receive dispatch notifications about new and updated shipments
• Open pickup and delivery addresses in your preferred maps app
• Use the app in your own language

HOW LOCATION WORKS

Your location is recorded only at the moment you record an action — arriving
at a stop, departing, or uploading a delivery document or signature. That
single position is sent to your carrier so they can confirm where the action
took place.

Between those moments, the app does not collect your location. It cannot
record your position while it is closed or running in the background, because
it does not include the background-location capability at all. You will only
ever be asked for "while using the app" location permission.

If you decline location access, you can still record every action. The action
is saved without a position.

WHO THIS APP IS FOR

eDispatch Lite is for drivers working with a carrier that uses the
TMS-eDispatch platform. You will need account credentials from your carrier
or dispatcher to sign in. It is not a general-purpose navigation or delivery
app and cannot be used without an account.

If your carrier uses continuous route tracking, you will be asked to use the
standard TMS-eDispatch app instead.
