Smart Time Guard helps families manage device time across two Android devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Install Smart Time Guard on both devices.
2. Choose Parent Mode on the parent device and Child Mode on the child device.
3. Grant the requested permissions on the child device.
4. Enter a duration in minutes on the parent device and send the restriction command.
5. The child device receives countdown warnings and locks when time expires.

REQUIRED PERMISSIONS
Child Mode needs Device Administrator permission to lock the screen, exact alarm access to trigger limits on time, display-over-other-apps permission to show warnings, and a foreground service to listen for commands. These permissions are used only for the app’s core time-management features and can be revoked in Android Settings.

IMPORTANT
Both devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network when sending a command. Smart Time Guard is designed for parent- or guardian-managed devices.

Smart Time Guard uses Android’s standard screen lock. For effective use, the child should not know the device PIN, password, or pattern. A child who knows the unlock credential can unlock the device and continue using it.
