About this app

The TOBU app is one of the most robust mobile Disc Golf applications on the market. And when it's used with the TOBU Disc you'll spend less time searching for your disc and more time playing the game. This is the only mobile app that allows you use your smart phone to locate your discs, record your game statistics, and so much more. (Note: many of the app features can be used without a TOBU disc)
Here are just a few of the TOBU app's features:

> Track your TOBU discs when they happen to go off course.

> Personalize your registered discs within the app by giving them a picture and name.

> Add players profiles and keep score on a robust scorecard that shows you par, hole length, overall score, and so much more.

> Use the app to record the distance of your throws.

> Calculate your overall average, drive length, and other stats so you can see your improvement over time.

> Find the nearest course, choose from a list of courses around your area, or simply build your own course within the app and submit it to the database for later use.

> Use GPS to see a full map of each course.

too slow! not enough help! map location is not accurate at all. I cant sync my disc to the app and the web browser is no longer available!

This app has not been updated since June 17 2016. Therefore part of it (perhaps the most important part) does not work (at least on the galaxy s7; i have tried 3 of them) but I'm thinking it's probably for any device running the nougat android release. In all aspects the app runs great. However attempting to pair it to a tracker will crash the app everytime. This is highly disappointing because it eliminates the entire point of the tracker or discs. That said this app is still pretty useful for discgofling, the courses tab will lead you to an overhead view of the course with the tee and basket outlined for each hole. If the course isn't on the app it's super easy to add a course during a round. The app also functions as a score card which is nice. All in all if your into tech and discgolf get this app it's pretty cool, AND if TOBU would UPDATE the app to work with newer versions of android (allowing me to use the trackers I purchased) this app would be pretty amazing with some tobu discs or tracker modules. As soon as that happens I will update my post with a full review of the app being used with modules.

This app is a pretty good mix of features for disc golfing. You can track scores for a round, map and view local courses, and track your discs if you have the Tobu tracker. It works well on my Galaxy S4 but seems to crash on the S7. All in all great app, just needs to be updated to work on the newest generation of android phones for a 5 star rating.

What's new

~ Updated User Profile - bugs fixes and a new ability to modification the user account information from the app.
~ Added a beeping feature to the radar on the mobile device. Users now have the option to use audio radar instead of just the visual radar. The beeping will increase as the player gets closer to their disc, or beep slower as they get further away.
~ Added additional language options. The app in now available in Chinese, Spanish, and Japanese.
~ Updated the User Manual.
