About this app

Tocavox is a free augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) app for people who can hear but cannot speak: after a laryngectomy, with a tracheostomy, after a stroke, with ALS, after tongue surgery or during voice rest.

Tap a phrase and your phone says it out loud, in a natural voice.

• Ready-made phrases for everyday life: basics, home, health, hospital, taxi, shopping, selling, greetings and more.
• Type any phrase and hear it right away.
• Your most-used phrases grow and come first.
• "About me": your name, your area and who to call in an emergency, ready to say.
• A calculator that says amounts out loud.
• Works offline: what you have already used plays even without a signal.
• Four languages: Spanish, English, French and Portuguese.

Make a quick copy of your voice in about 2 minutes, prepare a long recording for a professional voice, or connect your own ElevenLabs account. Your voice only plays in your account.

Every typed phrase goes through an anti-fraud filter: a cloned voice must never be used to deceive anyone.
