Do you have a habit of looking at the license plate of the car in front of you and trying to figure out how it divides evenly?
This app transfers that habit to five license plates a day.
■ Five Cars a Day
Five cars approach you every day. Divide the four-digit number on the license plate by a single digit (2–9), and enter the quotient yourself to move on to the next car. The number of pairs is indicated in advance via blank spaces, so you won't get stuck wondering, "Have I found them all?"
■ You Perform Division Yourself
You don't just select numbers; you manually enter the quotient. If you enter 2 into 8418, it asks, "8418 ÷ 2 = ?", and you must enter 4209 to fill in a space.
The act of using your brain is the very essence of this app.
■ No Need to Rush
There are no scores, grades, rankings, or comparisons with others.
There is no penalty for making mistakes, and you lose nothing even if you skip a day.
For each problem, a gentle loop of time flows along the circumference of the number plate, but it never stops. You can continue solving it even if the time runs out, and this fact is quietly contained only in the small heart that remains that day—a heart if solved on time, a broken heart if solved after the time has passed.
Since it counts only "days spent together" rather than consecutive days, the number does not decrease.
■ Divisors appear in pairs
If you put 2 into 8418, 8418 = 2 × 4209 remains as a single line.
A single digit on the left, and its quotient on the right. How the numbers are structured is visible to the eye while you calculate.
■ Works offline
Since the problems are determined by date, no server is required. You can encounter the five of the day on the subway or on an airplane. There are no accounts or logins.
