About this game
Dara Tutor helps you learn and play Dara, a traditional West African abstract strategy game for two players.
Follow interactive lessons, practice against Easy, Medium, Hard or Pro CPU opponents, or share one device for local two-player play. Learning Mode explains each phase, highlights legal options, and shows how exact lines of three can lead to captures. Play in English or Japanese.
Try 10 challenges with fixed starting positions. Each begins in the movement phase, so you can focus on the position in front of you. Win to open the next stage, and clear Stage 10 to discover a hidden challenge. A short animation marks its first unlock; you can skip it or use reduced motion. Hints and Undo are available, and clears completed without either receive a separate mark.
In new games and all challenges, you cannot immediately reverse your own previous slide on your next turn. Make another slide before returning that piece along the same path. This applies to both players and the CPU. Saved games from earlier versions keep their original rules when resumed.
Play on a soil-style board with stone- and pottery-style pieces. Tap or drag to play. Optional piece sounds, background music and haptic feedback on supported devices accompany your moves. High Contrast and Reduce motion settings let you adjust the presentation.
Your latest normal game and current challenge have separate save slots on this device. Resume either without replacing the other. Each slot holds its latest game and replaces the previous game saved there. Stage clears and Hint/Undo use are stored locally. Game replay lets you review recorded actions without changing the current position.
All gameplay works offline. There are no ads, purchases, accounts, analytics or tracking. There is no account-based synchronization. The optional Privacy Policy link opens an external browser and requires an internet connection.
