About this app

MuseTuner is a chromatic tuner for twelve instruments and the human voice, with a metronome, a practice log, digital instruments and music-theory tools.

— TUNING —

• Readings in true cents, with a "Tuned" badge and an optional vibration once a note is held in tune.
• Adjustable in-tune range (3, 5 or 10 cents) and needle smoothing.
• Reference pitch from A = 415 to 450 Hz.
• Fast or Smart detection: quick response, or extra accuracy on low notes and in noisy rooms.
• Screen reader support.

— NINE TUNER DISPLAYS —

Circular spectrum, gauge, cents scale, bar meter, frequency ladder, pitch trail, waveform, oscilloscope, and a spectrum with harmonic guide lines that shows the make-up of the tone.

— HEADSTOCK TUNER —

For guitar and ukulele, each string is a peg that plays its reference note, and the app follows the string being tuned.

Guitar: Standard, Drop D, Drop C, Drop B, Half-step down, Full-step down, Open G, Open D, Open E, Open C, DADGAD.
Ukulele: Standard (High G), Low G, Baritone, D tuning.

— TWELVE INSTRUMENTS AND TRANSPOSITION —

Each instrument keeps its own KEY setting, so the tuner shows the written note in the correct octave: Bb, C, D or Eb trumpet and clarinet; soprano, alto, tenor or baritone saxophone; horn in F or Bb. Each instrument has its own reference sound and a page on its history and playing technique.

— VOICE —

With Universal selected, the app records the lowest and highest notes sung and suggests a voice type.

— METRONOME —

20 to 240 BPM, timed by the audio engine. Tap tempo, meters from 2/4 to 12/8, subdivisions, per-beat accents, three sounds, presets and a practice timer. It keeps playing while the tuner is in use.

— PRACTICE LOG —

Practice time by day and week, and a practice streak. An optional daily reminder is sent only on days without practice.

— DIGITAL INSTRUMENTS —

On-screen piano, guitar, ukulele, violin, cello, trumpet, flute and voice. The piano has all 88 keys, touch-sensitive volume and a sustain pedal.

— NOTE PLAYER, CIRCLE OF FIFTHS AND SCALES —

• Note player: notes from C2 to B7, written for the instrument's key and played at concert pitch.
• Circle of Fifths: each key can be played and shown with its key signature in four clefs, its related keys and its chords.
• Scales: 22 scales and modes on a staff or a keyboard, played up, down or both, at three speeds.

• Temperaments: just, Pythagorean, meantone, Werckmeister III, Kirnberger III, Vallotti and Young
• Drone: a sustained reference note for interval practice

— PRIVACY AND OFFLINE USE —

No account is required. Recordings and practice history are stored on the device only. The tuner, metronome and practice log work without an internet connection.

— SUBSCRIPTION TERMS —

MuseTuner is free to use with ads. MuseTuner Pro is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase.

Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Google Play subscriptions settings. Lifetime is a one-time purchase and does not renew.
