About this app

MuseTuner is a chromatic tuner and metronome for twelve instruments and the human voice. It includes dual-mode pitch detection, seven swipeable tuner displays, an interactive headstock tuner for guitar and ukulele, live fingering charts, a vocal range chart, Circle of Fifths and Scale Finder tools, a music key changer for transposing instruments, a digital note player, and a built-in metronome. The app works fully offline.

— PITCH DETECTION —

Two detection modes are provided for different scenarios. Fast mode is optimised for quick response on bright instruments. Smart mode is optimised for stability on low brass, double-stops, and noisy environments. A benchmark mode in the app lets you compare the two on the same input.

— SEVEN TUNER DISPLAYS —

Swipe between seven visualisations of the same detected pitch:

• Classic gauge with needle.
• Wave-of-bars meter with colour-coded zones.
• Vertical pitch ladder with a floating Hz tag.
• Pitch trail — scrolling cents-over-time graph for vocalists and practice.
• Animated waveform synced to the detected note.
• Live oscilloscope showing the input instrument's tone.
• Interactive headstock tuner (guitar and ukulele).

— INTERACTIVE HEADSTOCK TUNER —

When Guitar or Ukulele is selected, the app shows a photo of a real headstock with tappable tuning pegs. Tap a peg to hear its reference note. Pluck a string and the app identifies which peg you are tuning. Tap-to-lock onto a specific peg to focus.

Guitar tunings: Standard, Drop D, Half-step down, Full-step down, Open G, Open D, DADGAD.
Ukulele tunings: Standard High-G, Low G, Baritone, D Tuning.

Each instrument has its own reference-note voice and a live fingering chart that highlights the matching position when MuseTuner detects your note. Tap any instrument's info button to view its history, range, and playing technique.

— VOCAL RANGE CHART —

For singers, the fingering chart is replaced with a live vocal range chart that maps the detected pitch onto standard voice-classification bands (bass, baritone, tenor, alto, soprano). Tap the Guide button to open the full-screen vocal range view with live pitch tracking.

— CIRCLE OF FIFTHS AND SCALE FINDER —

Two music-theory tools are included. The Circle of Fifths shows major and minor scales, accidentals, and engraved clef plus key signature on a hand-drawn staff for any key you tap. Scale Finder reverses the lookup — select a scale and see which keys contain it.

— MUSIC KEY CHANGER —

Concert-pitch transposition for transposing instruments (Bb trumpet, Eb saxophone, F horn, D clarinet, and more) is handled automatically. Tap KEY, select your instrument's key, and the displayed note matches the written note on your sheet music.

— DIGITAL NOTE PLAYER —

The full piano keyboard (eight octaves, C1 to B8) is available for note playback through a clear voice. Useful for ear training, intonation work, finding a starting pitch, or confirming a note before tuning.

— METRONOME —

Includes time-signature support, customisable BPM, and downbeat accent.

— OFFLINE OPERATION —

The app works without an internet connection. No account is required. Your last instrument, key, tuning preset, and display preference are saved automatically.

— SUBSCRIPTION TERMS —

MuseTuner is free to use with ads. An optional subscription removes ads and unlocks premium features. Plans:

Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Google Play subscriptions settings.

What’s new

NEW: 6 more languages (German, French, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Hindi, Russian) — Settings → Language. Now 10 languages total. FIXED: Circle of Fifths labels (Key/Relative/Parallel) were stuck in English — now translated. Instrument screen tabs (Instrument/About/Guide) too. Several text-overflow fixes for long language names.
