About this app

Ever notice your lips move before the sound catches up? Bluetooth Audio Latency measures the actual round-trip delay between your phone and your wireless earbuds — automatically, using your microphone.

Most "delay test" apps ask you to watch a stopwatch and guess when you hear a click. This one doesn't guess. It plays a short tone, listens for it through your microphone, and calculates the delay with cross-correlation — the same kind of signal analysis audio engineers use.

[ HOW IT WORKS ]

● Measure a Baseline
First, measure your phone's own speaker-to-mic delay with no Bluetooth device connected. Every phone has a small delay of its own — this baseline gets subtracted from every later measurement.

● Connect and Measure
Connect your earbuds, hold your phone near them, and tap Measure. The app plays a tone, your earbuds play it back, and the microphone captures it. Five rounds run automatically and the median result is used to filter out noise.

● Get a Clear Verdict
No raw numbers to interpret alone — you get a plain-language verdict: good for watching video, noticeable in video but fine for music, or too laggy for gaming.

● Save and Compare
Name and save results per earbud so you can compare multiple pairs side by side.

[ FEATURES ]

- Automatic microphone-based latency measurement — no manual timing
- Baseline correction for accurate phone-to-phone comparison
- Five-round median measurement to filter outliers
- Plain-language verdict (video / music / gaming)
- Per-device history — compare earbuds you own
- Confidence and clipping warnings so you know when to remeasure
- Clean, distraction-free interface
- Light, dark, and system themes

[ ACCURACY NOTE ]

Android cannot separate Bluetooth transmission delay from your phone's own audio hardware delay without external equipment — this is a platform limitation, not an app limitation. This app measures the full round trip and subtracts your phone's baseline to estimate the added Bluetooth delay. Treat results as accurate for comparing devices and codecs, not as an absolute lab measurement. Measure in a quiet room for best accuracy.

Stop guessing whether your earbuds are laggy. Measure it.
Measure real Bluetooth earbud lag with your microphone — not a guess.
