ToPill is an independent app, unaffiliated with the ANSM (French National Agency for Medicines and Health Products Safety), the HAS (French National Authority for Health), or any other government entity.

ToPill helps you understand the medications you take. Scan the barcode (or Datamatrix) on a box or search for a name: the app displays, in plain language, what the official public information says.

✚ MEDICATION EVALUATION ✚ Is the medication truly effective? A simple rating indicates its actual usefulness (what the authorities call the "Medical Benefit"): A for significant, B for moderate, C for low, D for insufficient. You know immediately where you stand.

✚ MEDICATIONS TO AVOID ✚ When the independent journal Prescrire deems a medication more dangerous than beneficial, ToPill alerts you and cites the source. Never stop treatment on your own: talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

✚ THE INSTRUCTIONS, FINALLY READABLE ✚
The ANSM (French National Agency for Medicines and Health Products Safety) leaflet is reorganized into expandable sections: what the medicine is used for, precautions, dosage, side effects, storage, and composition. An internal search takes you directly to the relevant section.
