The new pinch/zoom/dbl-tap zoom thing isn't as simple as the old tap once method. It's such a great app so I won't be updating unless there's an option to choose. ***update*** thanks for your prompt reply Leon ... the functional difference between the old single tap and the new dbl-tap is that a single tap zoomed into the tap location, whereas dbl-tap anywhere zooms to the centre only, necessitating an extra drag operation. Dbl-tap GMaps zooms into the dbl-tap location.

Hi Elliot, completely understand where you’re coming from. The change was made to make the app more inline with Androids standard UI interactions. It works the same way as maps or photos app. The functionality from the previous version is there, it just requires a double tap rather than a single tap. Edit: good point about zoom, will update app.

Simple and well designed, thank you Leon! One suggestion, bring back the ability to zoom on any area of the map. It seems after one of the most recent updates you can only zoom the centre of the map when double tapping. It was much better when you could just press anywhere on the map and it would zoom into that spot. Currently the new zoom feature makes it useless for anyone away from the radar location.

this app is terrible as soon as you click on it you are hit with a add and unable to read it.so you close and reopen and hit with a add this doesn't stop. it has got worse and worse . Hoping this update corrects this hmmm probably not. your responce was adds come up every 5 mins, that is totally incorrect the adds come up within 5 seconds after opening, then I close and does the same thing. I closed and opened 7 times without the ability to read.. I hope this update is an improvement

You can remove the ads if you wish with a one off payment of $4.99. Ads only appear every 4-5 times you open the app. I'm just a single Aussie dev keeping the app running, don’t have big company bank account or shareholders cash to burn, just my own. I can’t keep an app thats free to use alive without some help. I hope you can appreciate.

What’s new

- Fix that resets the zoom when a new radar distance is selected.

#4.11 Pinch and swipe gestures have been added to the rain radar map.
