About this app

Tower Watch is a small private world clock styled like a vintage watchmaker's bench. Your home city sits at the very top as a large analog watch face -- minute hand sweeping, hour hand fixed -- with brushed brass casing and an ivory dial. Every contact you add becomes a smaller analog face on its own brass plate, sorted by hour offset from home. Read the bench at a glance and you know exactly where every city is in its day without doing hour math. The action is at the TOP -- the "+ ADD" button lives in the top-right corner of the header, exactly where a watchmaker would reach for a loupe.

THE HOME DIAL

A large analog clock face dominates the top third of the screen: ivory dial, brass bezel, fine minute ticks, hour markers, hour and minute hands. Below it: your home city name, IANA timezone, and the longest overlap window when everyone in the bench is in working hours.

THE BENCH

Below the home dial, your contacts live as a vertical column of landscape PLATES. Each plate is a horizontal card with:
- a small analog dial on the left showing the contact's local time
- the city + IANA timezone in serif caps
- the delta to home ("+5h", "-3h") on the right in a brass-engraved chip
- a tiny day/night gradient strip across the bottom

Pinned plates get a brass crown stamp in the upper-right corner.

THE TOP TAB BAR

Tabs live at the TOP of the screen, not the bottom. The active tab gets a brass underline. Three tabs: WATCH (home + plates), ATLAS (every unique city sorted by offset), SETUP (preferences).

NO FAB

The "+ ADD" affordance is an inline pill in the top-right of the header, beside the home dial. No floating button at the bottom; the bench is uncluttered.

THE ATLAS TAB

Every unique city you track, rendered as brass index cards sorted by hour offset. Each row: city label, IANA id, day-shift hint, contacts in that city, delta chip, big local time. A + ADD CITY pill top-right opens the same searchable picker. Long-press a row to remove all contacts in that city.

THE EDITOR

Tap a plate to open the editor. Name field, city picker (115+ IANA cities plus raw UTC offsets), free notes field. Save, pin, archive, or delete from a row of action buttons at the top.

SETUP

Pick your HOME city. Add a custom display label. Toggle 24h vs 12h clock. Tune the working window to any whole hour 0-23 using +/- steppers or by typing.

PRIVACY

Tower Watch keeps every plate on your device. No sign-in, no cloud sync, no analytics, no ad SDK. The store is encrypted at rest with a key that lives in the Android Keystore. No network permissions are requested. If you uninstall the app, the data goes with it.
