URL Shortener helps you turn long web addresses into compact links you can copy, share, and open. Paste a URL, create a shorter link, then use that result in messages, documents, profiles, and posts.

URL Shortener is a simple Android tool for people who send links and want a shorter address that fits limited spaces.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Open the app and stay on Home.
2. Choose Shorten to create a compact link, or Expand to look up an original address when the service supports that lookup.
3. Paste or type a URL. Addresses without a scheme are prepared with https:// before the request.
4. Confirm the action and wait for the result.
5. Copy the result, share it through another app, or open it in a browser.
6. Clear the form when you want a clean screen for the next URL.

An internet connection is required for shortening and expansion. If the network is unavailable, turn on Wi-Fi or mobile data and try again.

URL Shortener does not run a private developer shortening server. Requests go to a third-party URL shortening service over HTTPS. Availability, rate limits, and the short-link format depend on that service. Expansion is available only when the configured service supports looking up the original URL.

HISTORY ON THIS DEVICE
When a shorten request succeeds, URL Shortener may save the original URL, the short URL, and a timestamp in a local database on your phone or tablet. History is not uploaded to a developer-controlled server. You can remove a single item or clear all history from the History screen.

EXPAND MODE
Use Expand when you have a short link and want the original destination. Enter the short URL, start the lookup, and review the original address when the service returns it. If expansion is not supported or the link cannot be found, the app shows a clear message.

THEMES AND SETTINGS
Open Settings to choose System default, Light, or Dark. Theme choice stays on the device. Missing schemes are normalized with https:// so a pasted address can be submitted in a consistent form.

PRIVACY IN BRIEF
URL Shortener does not provide login, passwords, contacts, camera, microphone, or location features. Local history and theme preference stay on the device. When you submit a URL, that URL is sent to the third-party shortening service so the link can be created or expanded. The provider may receive the URL and technical request data such as IP address, and follows its own terms.

ADS
The app may show Google AdMob App Open and Interstitial ads. Google and its partners may process device and advertising identifiers and similar data to deliver and measure ads. Core shortening still works if an ad does not load.

WHO IT IS FOR
URL Shortener is useful when you share product pages, documents, videos, forms, maps, and profiles in chat or social posts. A shorter address is easier to read and easier to fit where space is limited.

TIPS
• Paste the full URL whenever you can.
• Copy the result when you need it right away.
• Use History to find a link created earlier on the same device.
• Delete history items you no longer need.
• If a request fails, check the internet connection and try it again.

WHAT THIS APP DOES NOT DO
URL Shortener does not create user accounts, does not store your history on a developer server, and does not replace your browser. Always check a destination link before you share it more widely.
