ORDO is a perpetual liturgical calendar (until 2037) and a missal for the traditional Catholic rite.
It conforms to the 1962 liturgical calendar, centered around the Mass of Saint Pius V (in Latin).
For each day, you can find:
- The various feasts of the day,
- The proper texts for each day,
- The lives of the saints of the day.
- The Ordinary of the Mass including the texts for each day
- The choice of Mass form (read/sung)
- For sung Masses, the main Gregorian scores from the Kyriale
All information is in the application and is not downloaded from the Internet: it is therefore always available.
THE CALENDAR
It includes:
- Sundays, feast days, vigils, octaves, and holidays,
- Commemorations (or memorials),
- Universal and French solemnities,
- Various possible feast days on the same day,
- Certain feast days of France, Brittany, and the dioceses of Paris and Switzerland.
- Indications of obligatory feast days, days of fasting, and abstinence.
- Liturgical notes: prevented or postponed feast days, etc.
READINGS & LIVES OF SAINTS
For each feast day, the texts of the day are available, along with a summary of the life of the saint(s) of the day.
PRAYERS
On Fridays during Lent, a Stations of the Cross is available.
MISSAL
The application can display the Mass Ordinary adapted to each day:
- the form of the Mass (read/sung/solemn, and the short or long versions of the Ember-beats)
- the texts of the proper are dynamically included,
- the Ordinary adapts according to the day and the liturgical season (for example, Asperges Me/Vidi Aquam on Sundays, etc.)
- Gregorian scores for the main Masses of the Kyriale
- Special ceremonies: blessings, processions, and ceremonies of Holy Week.
APP NAVIGATION
The application allows you to:
- navigate the calendar, which highlights the feast day,
- go directly to a given date,
- search for feast days (a single keyword),
- display the details of a day, which provides access to the readings,
- choose the location where the celebrations should be displayed.
