Ratings and reviews

I have seen many people say its not the app its the wifi, but it is the app. I have used the iOS app when the Android app isn't working, and it will work when Android doesnt. I am currently in the middle of a cook for food for my daughter's birthday and can't monitor the food because the Grill won't connect. This is very frustrating. When it does connect, I can't update anything as it says it updates a temp and then reverts back to the previous temp. On the grill itself there is no change.

Love my Traeger, don't love the app. When we first got our Traeger it would not stay connected to the app, I was constantly having to start over and reconnect it, putting in the serial number, over and over and it refused to connect. They seem to have gotten that fixed but now it tells me it's done preheating when it's still over 20° to low. I don't understand why it has to be so difficult.

App used to be reliable, but recently it does things like freeze if I start a cook. It will show device and probe temp reliably, the post sale pellet sensor is working great etc. I am also frustrated that it doesn't save my custom cook settings like naming each stage of a multistage reverse sear. I have to give it a temp name and apply to set the probe, then the app hangs and I have to restart. The probe setting usually took, so not a problem with the wifi.
