TraitWare Authentication

TraitWare Authentication simplifies and secures access to protected applications and web sites by employing the User’s mobile device as a “login token” or “authenticator”, eliminating or reducing dependence on the use of inconvenient and problematic usernames and passwords or separate hardware tokens. It improves the security by adding two-factor authentication to the login process.

The TraitWare system consists of two major components: 1) the TraitWare Mobile App; and 2) The back-end TraitWare components which are hosted in a secure cloud.

The TraitWare App functionality can be delivered by embedding the App into a Customer’s existing or new Mobile App, or it can be delivered by a standalone TraitWare App. The choice of one or the other depends the Customer use cases and requirements.

TraitWare includes patent-pending technology called “TraitWare ID” which “binds” the User’s identity to their Mobile Device. In other words, TraitWare allows the User’s mobile device to be used as a multi-factor authenticator where the two factors are 1) “something you have”, which is the device itself which contains user and device traits; and 2) "something you are", which is your fingerprint or “something you know”, which is your image-based PhotoAuth Sequence (which functions as a “visual PIN”).
