Flashlynx turns your phone's camera flash into a bright, reliable LED flashlight — one tap and you have light. Set a steady beam or a blinking rhythm, send a Morse SOS signal, light up a room with your screen, and let your flash blink when a call or message arrives.
Designed for the moments when you need light fast: finding keys in the dark, a power cut, a night walk, or a silent room where you still want to notice your phone ringing.
KEY FEATURES
- Instant torch: tap the big lens button to turn the LED flashlight on or off. Adjust the flash strength on devices that support it.
- Blink rhythm: set your own on-time and off-time in milliseconds for a strobe, or keep the off-time at 0 for a steady light.
- SOS signal: send the Morse S·O·S pattern with one tap.
- Disco strobe: a fast party strobe for music and celebrations.
- Screen light: turn the whole display into a soft lamp. Choose the colour and brightness — handy for reading, a night light or a selfie fill light.
- Flash alerts: your camera flash blinks for incoming calls, SMS and notifications from the apps you choose. Decide when alerts should stay quiet: when the screen is on, when the battery is low, or depending on your ring mode (normal, vibrate, silent). Try it with the Test flash button.
- Quick Settings tile: toggle the torch from the notification shade without opening the app.
- Home-screen shortcuts: long-press the icon to start SOS right away.
- Optional home screen: set Flashlynx as your launcher to get torch, screen light and SOS one tap from home, with a clock, calendar, dock, folders and a searchable app drawer. You can switch back to your previous home app at any time.

PERMISSIONS, EXPLAINED
- Phone (read phone state): only to know when the phone is ringing so the flash can blink. The app does not read phone numbers, call logs or contacts.
- Notification access: only to detect which app posted a notification so the flash can blink for the apps you picked. The app does not read the content of your notifications.
- Notifications and exact alarms: used for timed torch behaviour and reminders.
- No camera permission is required: the torch is controlled through the system flash API.
All permissions are optional and can be revoked in your device settings; the torch and screen light keep working without them.
SAFETY NOTES
- Bright and flashing light can be uncomfortable. Do not shine the torch into anyone's eyes, and avoid strobe and disco modes if you or anyone nearby is sensitive to flashing light or has a photosensitive condition.
- The SOS mode is a convenience feature only. It is not an emergency service and should never be your only way to call for help.
- Prolonged torch use drains the battery and may warm the device.
- Torch availability and brightness control depend on your device hardware.
