Retriva saves the messages you receive, so you can still read them after the sender deletes or recalls them. It keeps a private copy of incoming chat notifications and backs up the photos, videos, voice notes and files your messaging apps have already downloaded, all stored on your own device.

Someone sends a message, then taps "delete for everyone" before you read it. With Retriva turned on, the text from that notification is already saved, and the timeline shows you which messages were recalled.

HOW IT WORKS
- Retriva needs Notification access to save messages. It can only save messages whose notification arrived after you turned it on. It cannot recover anything sent before that, and it cannot see messages that never showed a notification (for example, muted chats or a chat you already had open).
- Media backup needs file access and only covers files your messaging app has already downloaded to the device.
- You can turn off Notification access or remove permissions at any time in your device settings.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- Saved messages and media stay on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers.
- No account or sign-in needed.
- No ads and no in-app purchases.
