About this app

Tri Flash is designed to help you manage flashcards to help you learn vocabulary of languages written with non-latin characters, and manage 3 dimensions instead of just 2 with regular flashcards:
- the word in its original language (or a full sentence)
- the latin (or pinyin for Mandarin) transcription
- the translation

Tri Flash will even do text-to-speech to pronounce the word for you. For text-to-speech the following languages are supported:
- Mandarin
- Japanese
- Russian
- Hebrew
- Arabic
- Korean
- Indi Devanagari
- Thai
- Tamil

Contact me if you want me to add new ones!

The application will use the right text-to-speech language depending on the character set, so you can mix different languages.

The app will let you do the following:
- organise your list of words or sentences in categories, that you can select / unselect
- add words manually
- or pair your app with a personal Google Sheet that you can reload words from: this is great convenience as you can update anything from the Google Sheet and just "reload" from the app to refresh the content of the app
- the app will randomly propose words from the categories that are active, ignoring the words you have "hidden" (for the ones you already know well)

You can hide/show any of the three: original word, transcription, translation.

Why is this useful?
- There are 3 dimensions, perfect for the languages that do not have a latin character set
- You can fully manage your OWN lists and do not have to rely on predefined flashcards: ask an AI tool to generate any list of words that you would need to study, make sure it generates it in 3 columns (category, original word, transcription, translation), copy paste in your Google Sheet, "reload" and you're good to go
