About this app

Keep your private photos together, behind your own PIN.

Arca stores photos and videos in an encrypted vault on your Android phone. Create a six-digit PIN, import the files you want to protect, and organize them with albums and favorites. You do not need an Arca account.

YOUR VAULT, ON YOUR DEVICE

• Photos, videos and thumbnails are individually encrypted with AES-256-GCM.
• Unlock with your PIN or supported device biometrics. You can also require biometrics followed by your PIN.
• Auto-lock and app-switcher shielding help keep your vault private when you leave the app.
• The private camera saves directly into the encrypted vault.
• Imported originals stay in your gallery until you choose to remove them and confirm the Android deletion prompt.

VIEW AND ORGANIZE

Browse albums, search filenames, mark favorites, and watch videos without exporting them to your gallery. Export your originals whenever you need them. Existing items and original exports remain accessible if Premium ends.

ARCA PREMIUM

Premium removes the 100-item free limit and adds features including private notes, hidden thumbnails, a separate decoy vault, failed-unlock reports, alternate app icons, and encrypted backups. Device storage limits still apply.

Premium also includes supported link downloads, video playback controls, background audio, Picture in Picture and on-device subtitles. Subtitle creation downloads a speech model; the video's audio is processed on your phone. Link downloads send the requested URL to our download service and may temporarily stage the requested media on that service.

Failed-unlock photos are optional and require camera permission. Android may show a camera-use indicator.

BACK UP WHAT MATTERS

An encrypted backup can help you move your vault to another compatible device. Keep its PIN: we cannot recover a forgotten PIN or decrypt your vault for you. Deleting the app removes its local vault. Exported originals and backups are stored wherever you choose to save them.

PURCHASES

Available Premium plans, prices, billing periods and any eligible trial are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew unless canceled in Google Play. Uninstalling Arca does not cancel a subscription. Restore purchases from Settings using the same Google Play account; restoring a purchase does not restore vault files.
