WHAT FOCUSGUARD DOES
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
FOCUS SHIELD — App Blocker
Pick the apps that steal your focus and shield yourself from them. Block individual apps or whole categories during a focus session, a school day, or a custom schedule.
FOCUS SESSIONS — Deep Work, On Demand
Start a focus session in one tap. Choose how long, choose what to block, and your focus space stays sacred until the timer ends. Built-in focus break support means you stay sharp without burning out.
CONCENTRATION STREAK
Every successful session and every day you hit your goal builds your streak. Watch your personal productivity grow week by week, and feel the pull to keep it alive.
PRODUCTIVITY COACH
Choose your tone: funny or motivational and Focus Guard delivers personalized nudges when you try to bail on yourself. It's a focus coach that actually understands you want to grow.
DIGITAL DETOX, MADE SIMPLE
No spreadsheets. No willpower contests. Just a clear shield between you and the scroll. Use Focus Guard as a daily digital detox tool, a habit tracker for your phone habit, or a long-term reset for your relationship with technology.
WHY FOCUSGUARD WORKS
✓ Friction that actually holds — overlays, lockouts, and accountability nudges instead of easy-to-tap dismiss buttons
✓ Personalized to YOU — pick your vibe, flavor and accent and the apps that hijack your day
✓ Built for real life — works for deep work professionals, students fighting school focus battles, parents reclaiming evenings, and anyone trying to break a phone habit
✓ Streak-driven motivation — small daily wins compound into a new default
Accessibility Service Disclosure
Focus Guard uses Android's AccessibilityService API to detect which app is currently in the foreground on your screen. This is required for the app's core functionality: when you start a Focus Session or set a limit on a distracting app, Focus Guard needs to know the moment that app is opened so it can show your block/lockout screen and help you stay off it.
Specifically, the AccessibilityService is used only to:
• Detect when a tracked or locked app moves to the foreground, so time limits and Focus Sessions can be enforced in real time.
Focus Guard does NOT use the AccessibilityService to read, collect, or transmit the content of your screen, your keystrokes, your messages, or any personal data. It only reads the package name of the app currently in the foreground. No accessibility data ever leaves your device.
The AccessibilityService is optional and off by default. Focus Guard requests it with a clear in-app explanation, and you can disable it at any time in Android Settings → Accessibility, or by uninstalling the app.
