Tripfolk connects you with travelers and locals in the city you are in right now. Open a plan — coffee at six, a walk through the old town, a bar you have been meaning to try — and see who joins. Or put your name on someone else's.
PLANS FIRST, NOT PROFILES
Most apps hand you a grid of faces and leave the hard part to you. Tripfolk starts with the plan. You see what is actually happening in the city tonight and join it. No opener to write, no waiting to be picked, no conversation that goes nowhere.
YOUR EXACT LOCATION NEVER LEAVES YOUR PHONE
This is not a setting you have to go find. It is how the app is built.
• Shifted before it is stored. Every location is moved 300–800 metres in a direction fixed to your account, then snapped to a grid. The raw coordinates are thrown away.
• Never sent to anyone. The app shows distances like "2.4 km" — never your latitude and longitude. Map pins sit at an approximate spot, not where you are.
• No background tracking, no location history. Your location expires on its own.
• You can disappear. Turn visibility off whenever you want.
