I've been trying several e-mail apps for my personal (non bussiness) email, and so far this one is the best I've used. It works well and has all the right features, but is still user friendly and uncluttered. I currently have 6 personal accounts I use, and this app handles them all in a clean and orderly manner.
Best so far, but menus R too busy. best mail app for multiple accounts. MUCH better than k-9, and superior to MailDroid. Will look for unique notifies for each account, not sure yet if you have that. Also would like to delete emails from the phone but leave them on the server, I will look for that feature and report back. UPDATE: mails will disappear from your phone but not the server depending on how long your "sync" is set, e.g. now my mails disappear from the phone after one day, but stay on the server.
Very nice on my 9-10" tablets. Not so good on my phones. The area above the email list is too large so using K-9 which lacks the features of TypeApp. Don't know how the interface could be changed to work better on 4-5" screens so can't blame the dev. Currently have 11 accounts and this app runs fine on a mid level tablet.
Was using Gmail as my default for business imap email and emails would be very spotty in sending emails and receiving. Today is the first day using TypeApp and I'm thinking to using this as my default for all of my emails. It is that good. Uses push system instead of pull which should equal less battery usage. Will test out a few more days to see. So far so good.
This is a good app, but it used to be great. The cluster function was really nice to organize messages from the same sender, but now, it often splits clusters into multiple groups, even within the same conversation. So you can no longer rely on it; you have to waste time hunting around your inbox just to make sure that you're not missing something. Also annoying, the app often doesn't download the pictures, even when requested. Many times, the message is in the form of an image, so I cannot even read the message!
I always came back to Type but for a while not messages take forever to download even when they're not large at all. It seems to be looping....downloading.....downloading....up to a minute. I sign in via a browser and the messages download immediately. Quite frustrating....
