Real or fake? With KatiTrust you can see it.

Before you buy something, rent a flat or meet someone: ask for a photo or video taken with KatiTrust. The check code shows you whether the capture is real and current.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Ask: in the chat, ask for a current photo or video with a check code.
2. Let them capture it: the other person takes it right in the KatiTrust app and sends you the code. Photos from the gallery don't work.
3. Check: enter the code in the app or in your browser. You see the original capture, when it was taken and roughly where.

In the app, Kati gives you tips on what to watch out for when buying, renting and dating.

WHAT'S BEHIND IT
• Captures are only made in the app, never from the gallery.
• Every capture gets a digital fingerprint, the capture time and the approximate place.
• An AI check is also meant to flag when, for example, a screen was photographed.
• Videos up to 20 seconds.

PRIVACY
• No account needed.
• The place is only stored roughly, to about 10 km.
• Captures are deleted after 24 hours.
