About this game

Word Herd is a fast word game on a 4x4 grid of letters. Swipe across touching tiles to spell words, find as many as you can before the clock runs out, and watch your flock grow with every one.

Letters link up, down, sideways or diagonally, and longer words and rarer letters score more. Play the daily word puzzle against everyone in the world, a quiet solo round, or a live multiplayer word game with up to 16 friends. It's quick enough for a coffee break and deep enough to sharpen your vocabulary and spelling.

Daily Challenge: one board for everyone
Every day brings one new word puzzle, and every player gets the same board. Post your score to the daily leaderboard, keep your streak alive, and see how your friends did on the letters you just played.

Solo word game, online or offline
Endless boards, no opponent, no internet needed. Stuck on a tough board? Spend a Spotlight to reveal three words you haven't found yet, or a Bullseye to see the best word left on the board.

Live multiplayer for up to 16 players
Race your friends on the same board in real time, free-for-all or split into as many as four teams. It works as a party game for family game night or a quick word battle with coworkers. When the clock stops, see which words only you found. Turn on House Rules to spin, flip and hide your opponents' boards while they're still on their word hunt.

Turn-based word games with friends
Play three boards each against a friend or a random opponent, whenever you both have a minute. Share a code or send an invite, and keep as many matches going as you like.

Bring your own words
Add names, slang and inside jokes to your personal dictionary, pool custom words with everyone in the room, and save a word list to use again next time.

Make it yours
Earn coins just by playing and spend them on over 100 avatars and dozens of app and board themes. Recolor any avatar in any two colors you like.

Fair by design
Coins are earned in the game only, and there is no coin store. Nothing you can buy gives you an edge in multiplayer or the Daily Challenge.
