Kintsugi keeps your company's sales tax position within reach between logins to the web app. Open it to see where your liability stands, which states you have exposure in, whether your data is still flowing in, and what needs attention today.

DASHBOARD

- Potential tax liability up front, alongside total sales, transaction count, tax collected, and tax remitted.
- A daily brief of what changed and what is still outstanding.
- A US map of your nexus status state by state. Tap a state for its status, its recorded liability, and its progress toward that state's threshold.

SALES

- The trailing six months of activity as a monthly chart.
- Toggle between sales value and transaction count.
- Tap any month for its own breakdown, or hand it to KIN to explain.

DATA SOURCES

- Every connected commerce, billing, payments, and accounting system in one list, ordered so an unhealthy connection is the first thing you see.
- Open any source for its sync status, its transaction volume, the date range it has actually imported, when it last synced, and whether tax calculation is enabled on it.

KIN, YOUR TAX ASSISTANT

- Ask questions about your own Kintsugi data in plain language: why your liability moved, what a state's nexus status means for your business, what a notice you received is asking for.
- Type your question, dictate it by voice, or attach a photo or document for KIN to read.
- KIN answers questions and points you to the right place in Kintsugi. It does not file, register, or decide anything on your behalf, and its answers are worth verifying before you act on them.
- Past conversations are searchable, so a question you asked last quarter is still there.

NOTIFICATIONS

- Alerts for filings, connection health, and nexus thresholds, plus optional categories like daily summaries, registrations, and imports.
- Preferences are per organization, so someone who manages several is only paged for the ones they file for.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Kintsugi is sales tax compliance software for ecommerce and SaaS businesses. This app is built for the finance, accounting, and operations people who own that work and need their position to be legible without opening a laptop.

It is a companion to the Kintsugi web application and requires an existing Kintsugi account and organization. There is no sign-up in the app and no way to connect a new data source from it - accounts are provisioned through Kintsugi, and connecting systems happens in the web app. If your company does not use Kintsugi yet, start at trykintsugi.com.
