About this app

The PointSolutions polling app (formerly TurningPoint) allows you to use your web-enabled device to respond to questions in real time and self-paced modes. PointSolutions is proven to increase retention and engage learners while allowing instructors to collect data to ensure comprehension.
A variety of subscription options are available.
FEATURES & FUNCTIONS:
• Questions and response options are displayed on your device when polling is opened so that you can answer in real time or at your own pace during self-paced assessments.
• Screen displays group responses, user response and indicates correct answer when polling is closed
• Multiple choice, multiple response, hotspot, numeric response, true/false and short answer, open-ended question types available
• Respond to attendance prompts
• View courses you're enrolled in and track grade data
• Ability to send messages to communicate questions or concerns to the presenter
• Navigate through self-paced assessments in various ways: swiping, navigation carousel, question list view
NOTE:
PointSolutions mobile is compatible with Android 5 and above.
Users participating in sessions with previous OS versions can participate using a web browser by visiting ttpoll.com.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Ratings and reviews

It wouldn't even allow me to log in, saying I need to be connected to WiFi or data. Tried on my data at 3 different locations all day, and tried on two different WiFi networks that I confirmed were otherwise working. This app is awful, the technical support option at the bottom is useless, and the only reason I even tried the app is because my clicker has scored me a 0% on every single question in my class so far, because it is not registering my answers despite everything being setup.

Definitely a good app for college students. Most universities should already have pre-payed for this app so you just need to log in with your university id. Much better then buying those clunky $70 clickers. This app does sometimes have some technical difficulties but it is often user based or solved with just restarting your phone. Another negative is that I can be difficult to set up the app the first time you use it.

Last semester, the professor NEVER could get Turning Point to work. This semester, it works great! 👍 Sometimes it freezes and you have to exit out and re-enter, but other than that, it's fine. *** NOT: It would be great if Turning Point could save the questions and correct answers so we could go back and study them for the test.
