They don't tell you how much it costs. it used to be free..In fact, it's really expensive.It asks you a bunch of questions, and then you're stuck with only an expensive subscription. In Japanese you can't put actual beginner. If you do choose beginner it starts throwing out a lot of kanji and all of the katakana and hiragana. Right off the bat. Speaking practice is one thing but reading Japanese is really hard for an English speaker and takes a lot of practice and this is not beginner stuff.

It's adware. one sentence spoken one add. I will keep looking. I can't learn with all the interruptions. Not sure how other people are okay with that 🤷 In response to your message, the only reason I downloaded the app is because it stated only "in-app purchases". This is false. It is ad supported and I got an ad on the first sentence. I don't know how people can learn with the interruptions. I am trying something else. thank you

Only giving it 4 stars because, as someone who has only just begun learning some Russian words or phrases, this is very much a "You do the learning, and I'll help correct you along the way" app. Which isn't bad at all, and it's great to see one of those!! So I'm not deleting it because I can use it once I get further! But it definitely asks full questions that I can't understand without the translation yet, nor do I have the vocabulary to answer yet. But I'll definitely use it in the future!!!
