■ Synopsis
May-June 1940, Dunkirk is the scene of a turning point in history. In just nine days, the Operation Dynamo - Battle of Dunkirk allows the evacuation of several hundred thousand Allied soldiers to England: a non well-known and yet decisive episode in the outcome of the Second World War. Fearing that his troops would be trapped and the battle lost, England decided to evacuate his troops by sea. Under continuous aerial attacks and the advance of German troops, dozens of British boats including the famous "Little Ships" (warships, trade, fishing, yachting ...) mobilize and manage to save nearly 340 000 soldiers including 120 000 French. In 2017, this event was highlighted through the film "Dunkirk" by director Christopher Nolan.
