About this app

Type Better is a full Android keyboard with writing tools on the row above your keys. Fix grammar, change tone, translate, dictate and draft replies inside the app you are already typing in. Nothing to copy, nothing to paste, no app to switch to.

HOW IT WORKS
Type the way you always do. Tap a tool on the row. It reads the text in the field, or just the part you selected, and opens where the keys are so your message stays on screen. Insert the result, or tap Undo for a few seconds afterwards. Your draft is never replaced with no way back.

THE TOOLS
- Grammar: fixes spelling and grammar and highlights the words it changed, so you see the correction before you accept it.
- Tone: 22 tones, including formal, friendly, direct, apologetic and confident, plus a plain rewrite.
- Assist: 65 assistants across selling, writing, social, marketing, career, personal, study and fun.
- Translate: 55 languages, with the source language detected for you.
- Voice: dictate in 55 languages and get cleaned-up text back. Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Marathi and Gujarati can also come back in Roman script.
- Reply: copy a message you received and get replies that take different positions, not three rewordings of one answer.
- Instant: upper case, lower case, title case, sentence case and strip formatting. Runs on your phone and is free forever.

Every tool is labelled. Drag them into the order you use, or take the ones you never touch off the row.

A REAL KEYBOARD
Autocorrect, predictions, swipe typing, long-press accents, emoji, clipboard history and a cursor pad. Typing works offline and needs no account.

PRIVACY
Android warns that any keyboard can read what you type. Here is how Type Better is built:
- Your keystrokes, autocorrect, learned words, swipe typing, clipboard history and Instant transforms never leave your phone.
- Dictation audio goes to your phone's own speech recogniser, never to us.
- Text leaves your phone only when you tap an AI tool: one tap, one request, only the text you chose.
- In password, PIN and payment fields the AI tools are switched off in code.
- No ads, no analytics, no advertising ID, no trackers. We do not train AI on your text.

PRICING
The keyboard itself is free forever, with no countdown. Type Better Plus unlocks the six AI tools: Grammar, Voice, Tone, Assist, Translate and Reply. Monthly or yearly, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers through Google Play. Google Play shows your price in your currency before you subscribe. Cancel any time in Google Play.

The AI tools need a Google sign-in and an internet connection. The app's interface is in English.
