Players guide the airplane horizontally across the screen, dodging and shooting enemies that descend from above. Precision and timing are key, as each enemy and their projectiles pose a threat.

In Quartz Chicken, every move matters. Enemies appear in different colors and patterns, moving downward toward the player. One hit from an enemy or their projectile reduces the player’s health, represented by three hearts. If an enemy passes below the screen, it still inflicts minor damage, making survival a continuous challenge. Players must strategically maneuver and shoot to clear the sky while protecting their limited lives.

The game is designed to be endless, allowing players to strive for higher scores without artificial limitations. A persistent high score system ensures that progress is saved even if the game is paused or closed. When switching to another app, the game automatically pauses, displaying a pause menu. Returning to the game requires closing the pause menu to resume flight. This ensures uninterrupted gameplay and fair challenges.
