Tinta is a private AI journal and diary. The AI runs on your phone, not in the cloud, so your journal entries never leave your device. Everything you write is encrypted on your device.

Tinta means ink. Write freely, then let Tinta help you notice what keeps showing up. It recalls related past entries while you write, asks one thoughtful question after you finish, and shows how your moods move over time. A journal that thinks with you, and keeps it to itself.

AN AI JOURNAL THAT WORKS OFFLINE

Most AI journal apps send your writing to a server for processing. Tinta runs a local AI model directly on your phone. Turn on airplane mode and everything keeps working: writing, chat with your diary, reflections, mood patterns. And since there is no server round trip, answers start appearing in seconds.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Keep a daily journal without it feeling like homework. Home is a calendar with a monthly thought cloud, a week selector and a day view. Tinta opens fast, so you can capture a thought before it slips away.
• Chat with your journal. Ask your diary what you were worried about in March, or what changed since spring. The on-device AI searches your past entries and answers from your own writing.
• Echoes: when you expand a thought, Tinta may surface a line you wrote months ago that rhymes with today.
• Patterns: the themes you keep circling back to, grouped from your own entries and named in a sentence.
• After you write, Tinta offers a short reflective question. It never lectures and never gives advice.
• Mood tracking without the guilt. Tinta notices how entries feel (happy, anxious, hopeful, grateful and more) and shows you the shape of your month. There are no streaks to keep alive and no scores to chase.
• Voice journaling: dictate entries with speech recognition that also runs on your phone.
• Back up your whole journal as a single file, readable as plain Markdown, and restore it on a new phone. Your writing stays yours to take anywhere.
• Light and dark themes, so the page looks the way you want it to.

Tinta speaks 8 languages: English, Arabic (with full right-to-left support), Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish. Write your diary in the language you think in.

BEFORE YOU START

On first launch, Tinta downloads its AI models once (about 1 GB). The models are compact enough for everyday phones, not just flagships. After the download your offline journal needs no connection at all: it works on a flight or with Wi-Fi switched off.
