This course will be your gateway to the world. We will explore different countries, meet diverse people, appreciate culture, and be enchanted with their stories. It aims to open your mind to the importance of respecting our uniqueness and finding beauty in it to unite us in our goals toward peace and harmony. It allows us to understand diversity and see how we are similar rather than different. We may have other ways of seeing the importance of things, expressions, rituals, beliefs, and traditions, but we share many things, especially regarding our emotions. Like others, we laugh when we are tickled; we cry when we are hurt and are annoyed when we are pestered. We live out of nature’s abundance. Like others, our experiences teach us to be better each day, and learning from the experiences of others will make us appreciate how beautiful it is to live with others. This will make you enjoy life and believe the miracle it reveals daily. This learning material helps you understand different literary pieces worldwide and prepares you to teach literature when you enter the teaching portals.
This module will help you appreciate different pieces of literature worldwide. Find an interest in reading literature as if you are preparing a tea. This module has six parts. The first part, Read the tea leaves guides you on what you are expected to learn in the lesson. The second part, Brew it Up, sets your mood or interest in the story through its interactive activities. The third part, Steep in, provides an overview of the most important highlight of the story. The fourth part, Pour it Over, assesses the depth of your understanding of the understudied literature. The fifth part, Take a Sip and Savor, allows you to speak your mind and unleash your literary creativity. You are given two (2) hours to do each performance task. The last part, Consider an Extra Cup, allows you to explore more by watching a video, reading more articles, or doing activities related to the literature highlight to make your learning even more meaningful.
