My Family room is a secure service that provides parents access to a variety of features that enhance communications, saves time, and provides 24/7 access to information related to your children.
The Upper Canada District School Board is pleased to announce ONLINE PAYMENTS available in the My Family Room mobile app.
Some features of Online Payments include:
· Payment processing by industry leader PayPal – Payment processing by industry leader PayPal – your banking information is securely stored on their servers, and protected by PCI-DSS industry security standards.
· Provide consent electronically for school activities and field trips.
· Approve and pay for a school event with just a few taps on your handheld device through the convenience of the My Family Room mobile app.
· Never forget when a field trip is scheduled at your school – events you have approved and paid for automatically get added to your child’s calendar, which can be viewed in My Family Room
All you need to get started with Online Payments is a PayPal account (sign-up is free) and a My Family Room account!
Additional My Family Room Benefits
· Inform the school if your child will be late or absent by reporting through the mobile app or website.
· Receive absence notifications to your smartphone, and either call the school or respond online to immediately let the school know that your child is safe.
· If you are new to the UCDSB or have another child ready for school, skip the paper forms and register online using the Online Registration form.
· View your child’s contact and demographic information – transportation, address, phone numbers, absence history and health information.
· View key contact information for your child’s school, such as phone numbers and email addresses for Principals, Vice-Principals, and office staff.
· View your child’s school calendar online, including PD days, exam days and other calendar items entered by your child’s teachers and school staff.
· Easily customize your contact preferences to receive emergency notifications to one destination (example: your mobile phone) while receiving non-urgent notifications to a different destination (example: your home phone or email address).
· Receive phone calls, emails or text messages pertaining to your child, such as absence notifications, school emergencies, bus cancellations, and school events.
