As part of the European project "Take It Slow", the Molise Region is among the partners responsible for concretely applying the project values, experimenting with a pilot action in the area.

It is from this perspective that the "Path of the 7 Churches" was born: a local regeneration strategy, functional to increasing the attractiveness of places and facilitating mechanisms of socio-economic resilience for some internal areas of Lower Molise, characterized by the presence of Serbian linguistic minorities - Croatian nationally recognized.

The “Way of the 7 Churches” itinerary is a historical-cultural route that winds through the territories of Croatian origin of Acquaviva Collecroce, Montemitro, Palata, San Felice del Molise and Tavenna. Added to these are two aggregating tourist areas: Larino and Termoli. At the basis of the itinerary is the Smart & Slow concept which recalls the concepts of Slow Tourism and Accessibility promoted by the Take It Slow project, favoring the valorisation of the material and immaterial cultural heritage of the territories involved, starting from the physical place that is the cornerstone of the local community: the Mother Church of the town.
