StopIt helps you block distracting apps when you need to focus.
StopIt uses the Accessibility API to detect when user-selected distracting apps are opened and to immediately show a blocking screen while a manual lock, timer lock, or routine lock is active. It may also detect uninstall attempts during an active lock to reduce lock bypass. This access is used only for core app-blocking and lock-maintenance features, and is not used for advertising, profiling, selling data, or sharing data with third parties.
StopIt uses Android's VpnService for its website blocking feature. It is a local, device-only VPN that filters DNS lookups: requests for the websites you selected are blocked, and every other lookup passes through unchanged. It runs only while a lock is active and never connects to a remote VPN server. No data — including browsing history, DNS queries, or your blocked-site list — is transmitted off the device or stored, and traffic from other apps is never intercepted or monetized.
Select the apps that break your concentration, then lock them instantly, by timer, or on recurring routines. Instead of only reminding you, StopIt is built to block access when you actually open the app.
