SSR Observatory is oriented to collect information on the operation of the SSR of the Coquimbo Region with the objective of analyzing its operation in a grouped way in the SSR Observatory of the Coquimbo Region. The application makes it possible to reduce the availability times of relevant information, in this way each SSR that sends its information is kept updated regarding its operation. The collected data allows applying vulnerability criteria classified in quantity, quality and continuity, thus providing valuable information for decision making.
Regarding its connectivity, the application uses the GPRS network of the cellular devices where it is installed, if it does not have connectivity, it can store the data collected while waiting for a connection to send data. This feature increases its usability in areas where telephone coverage is low.
SSR Observatory is a technological development of the Laboratory for Prospecting, Monitoring and Modeling of Agricultural and Environmental Resources (PROMMRA) of the Department of Agronomy of the University of La Serena, Chile, under the financing of the Regional Government of the Coquimbo Region through funds from the Contest FIC - R 2021 from the Coquimbo Region.
