About this game

The police are undercover at the festival – and only one faction will emerge victorious. Who do you trust?

Imagine werewolves, but with bass, wristbands, and a backstage area. Undercover Cops is a social deduction party game for 8 to 16 players, played live and face-to-face. The app acts as the game master: it assigns secret roles, guides you through the phases, evaluates actions and votes, and keeps everything under wraps. This way, everyone can participate, no one has to read aloud, and no one can cheat.

Two factions, one festival

• Festival faction: Visitors, bouncers, and VIPs just want to party – and banish all the cops and undercover agents by voting before too many of them are arrested.

• Police faction: 2 to 3 cops and 1 to 2 undercover agents work together. They search suspects, gather evidence, and take down half the festival – without being exposed themselves.

What makes Undercover Cops special:

• App as game master: The app handles roles, phases, secret actions, and headcount. Everyone can fully participate.

• Deceptive wristbands: For each dance floor, you only see how many people are there and how many wristbands are on – never who is wearing which one. The bouncer, of all people, doesn't have one, while the undercover agent wears one as a disguise.

• 5 roles, 2 factions: Visitor, bouncer, and VIP versus cop and undercover agent. Each role has its own strengths and weaknesses.

• 4 dance floors: Techno bunker, house main stage, trance tent, and ambient chillout. Where you party reveals and conceals more than you think.

• 5 festival days, 5 phases: Selection, event, action, discussion, vote. The stage gets smaller every day.

• Evidence and arrests: Searches place evidence markers. Two markers, and you're taken into custody.

This is how a festival day goes

1. Selection: Everyone secretly chooses a dance floor.

2. Event: The app draws an event that changes the rules for the day.

3. Action: Festivalgoers observe wristbands, police officers search people and plant evidence. All of this is done covertly via the app.

4. Discussion: Now it's time to talk, bluff, and deduce. Who was where? How many wristbands were on the dance floor?

5. Vote: The festival bans one person. Hopefully, it was a cop.

Each game earns experience points. Rank up, unlock achievements, and keep track of your stats: wins, favorite role, and more. Optionally, you can link your account to Google and save your game progress across devices.
