About this app

Direct a professional photoshoot from anywhere: control the camera on your model's phone live, while your client watches.

Every shot is captured by the camera of the model's phone at full quality - JPEG or RAW (DNG) on supported devices - and goes straight to a gallery the whole room can open.

Used by teams at Chanel and Valentino, photographers such as Juergen Teller and Greg Williams, and media including WSJ, Vogue and i-D.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Create a room and send the link. Your model joins from their phone; clients and art directors join as viewers.
2. You see the model's camera and take over the controls: tap to focus, exposure, ISO, shutter speed, white balance, zoom, lens and flash.
3. Press the shutter. The photo is taken by the phone's camera, not grabbed from the video call, and uploads to the room's gallery.

Ratings and reviews

Application poorly designed and implemented. I suspect it was not tested with Android devices. 1. Had photoshoot, I'm a model. No single photo (after 1hr) was saved on my device as intended. Very smart to store hundreds of pictures in cache during session. Photographer tried to reach customer support, they doesn't care. 2. Doesn't work with all camera features. Didn't save in raw format when my device definitely support it. 3. Audio doesn't go through earphones. Only device audio output.

I did my first virtual shoot 2 weeks ago. It went smoothly. Customer was happy with the images. A couple of days back, I did a second virtual shoot. Unfortunately, I could not capture the images. I contacted support team on instagram straight away. I've got immediate response and even did a test together with the support member and my customer. It turns out that the problem lies with my customer's mobile phone.In the end, my customer has to use another mobile for the photoshoot. CLOS is a cool APP for photographers wanting to create virtual shoots. There are some things that can still be improved on. One of the things is taking an image in "horizontal" mode. Hopefully this can be resolved asap. Cheers.

Good app in respect to what it does and quality, but it has so many glitches and is down a lot. There's no reliability at all to know if it is going to work when you shoot, which seems unprofessional to clients who have spent a lot of time getting ready and then can't shoot.
