About this app

Upland Maps is a hunting map for northern Wisconsin: public land, the private
forest that is open to the public, tax parcels and ownership, and the state's
own drumming survey results, on one map.

- Public hunting land, county and national forest, and Managed Forest Law land
that owners have opened to the public
- Tax parcel boundaries and the owner of record
- Aerial, topographic and street maps, with contours
- Drumming survey routes and counts, read from the DNR's own report
- County forest grouse area sheets, laid over the map
- Download the map for the ground you hunt and use it with no signal
- Search for an address or a lake, and get directions to it
- Mark and keep your spots season to season, with the track of the walk
- Share with your hunting party, private by default

What’s new

The map opens over where you are, close enough to be useful, when
location is allowed — unless you have already moved it, in which case
it stays put.

County forest sheets: switching one off takes it off the map, every
time.

On the street map: shop, park and place names now show, and a town
draws all its streets and buildings at every zoom.
