UpTakes is a sports video camera app with gesture-powered instant editing: raise to record, lower to stop, and keep or delete each clip instantly — so there's no editing afterward and no sorting through hours of footage.

Every action is a gesture, so your eyes never leave the action. A patented raise-to-record gesture (US Patent 11,082,609 B2) starts filming when you raise your phone — no button — and after each clip a quick gesture keeps or deletes it on the spot. Your highlight reel builds itself in real time, as you film.

Lift your phone toward the action and recording starts automatically. No buttons, no menus — your eyes stay on the play, not the screen. You feel a quick buzz the moment it starts.

Bring your phone back down and recording stops.

✅ KEEP OR DELETE — INSTANTLY
After every clip, a quick review screen appears with a countdown. Keep the take or delete it with a swipe (or a shake). The keepers ARE your highlight reel — no post-game editing, no sorting through hours of footage.

🔁 TWO MODES (Instant Editing Mode)
Auto-Save (the default): every take is kept unless you swipe to delete — for a full performance, a recital, or a whole game.
Auto-Delete: every take clears itself unless you keep it — for sideline filming and long sessions where you record liberally and commit only to the moments worth keeping. Un-kept takes never reach your photo library, so you record without storage anxiety.
