UpTime Prizes is a free alarm app that wakes you with original music.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE ALARM SOUNDS

The music does not simply play. It arrives in three stages.

The Invite — an original melody that greets you on its own terms.
The Nudge — a rhythm that moves without rushing, until you're ready to rise.
The Prize — the song itself, the UpTime swing — and the morning is yours.

The Invite and the Nudge each loop until you press snooze. Here, snooze moves you forward rather than delaying you. The Prize plays once, and when it ends a Replay button appears for one more listen.

The UpTime Sound stands on the foundation of big band swing from the 1930s and 40s. Many of the songs fuse that foundation with blues, western, Celtic, neo-soul, and gypsy swing — genres built on big band, curated into something of their own.

It is an eclectic sound, and it stands on its own. That curation is what we call the UpTime Sound.

Every song is original — written and recorded for UpTime Prizes, and carried by an ensemble of voices, each from a different corner of the tradition.
