About this app

This is a weather app that tells you when it will rain, not whether it will rain.

Based on the Korea Meteorological Administration's ultra-short-term forecast, it tells you when rain or snow will start and when it will stop.

Instead of listing temperature and weather icons, it answers only one question: "Is it safe to go out now?"

When you turn on the screen, the answer is first displayed as whether your umbrella is open or closed,

and below that, the time interval for when it will start is displayed.

■ We notify you before you leave

If rain or snow is forecast to start at a registered location, we send you a notification before you depart.

If you turn on the morning briefing, we summarize in a single line whether you need an umbrella today, timed to your departure time.

■ Check both your home and work

If you set your commute route, it checks and compares your starting and ending points separately.

You cannot tell if a situation like "It's not raining in front of my house, but it is raining near my office" by looking at only one location.

■ Not just rain, but snow and wind as well

If it snows, we advise you to leave early, taking into account slippery conditions and potential delays.

We even inform you that your umbrella may turn inside out on windy days.

■ You don't need to open the app

The precipitation timeline is displayed on the home screen widget, and you can check the remaining time in the notification area while it is raining.

■ We don't hide whether our predictions are accurate

Forecasts can be wrong. Usagak records the forecasts we send, compares them with the actual conditions at the same time to calculate the accuracy rate, and displays the results exactly as they are.

■ What Usagak does not do

· We do not continuously track your location. We only view fixed locations that you have registered yourself.

· We do not create our own forecasts. We simply deliver the ultra-short-term forecasts and actual conditions released by the Korea Meteorological Administration without processing and organize them for easy viewing.

· We do not set a fixed start time. Since KMA forecasts are in one-hour increments, we do not specify "in 30 minutes" but provide guidance in intervals.

· We do not ask you to create an account. There is no login or server.

비 올 때만 따로 봅니다.

적중률이 88%였습니다. 그런데 그 숫자의 대부분은 비가 안 온 시간이 채운 것입니다.
"비 없음" 예보가 맞은 건 맞은 거지만, 우산을 챙길지 말지를 바꾸지는 않습니다.

이제 비가 걸린 판정만 따로 보여 드립니다.

• 비 온다고 했을 때 — 실제로 온 비율 (헛걸음시킨 적은 없는지)
• 실제로 비 왔을 때 — 미리 알린 비율 (놓친 적은 없는지)

표본이 적을 때는 백분율 대신 횟수를 그대로 보여 드립니다.
"3번 중 2번"은 표본이 작다는 걸 드러내지만 "67%"는 감추니까요.

「알림 전달」 설명도 바로잡았습니다.
갱신이 오래 비어도 이미 예보된 비의 알림은 미리 예약돼 있어 살아 있습니다.
그 사이에 잃는 것은 새로 생기거나 앞당겨진 비뿐입니다.
