What Can I Sing (WCIS) is an on-demand App for Karaoke requests. The user interface allows patrons to find nearby venues via geo-location map and see the hours of operation for Karaoke in each venue. The whatcanising App will allow patrons to view the host’s songbook and make requests. Patrons can include a key change request and also see a list of their requests. This list will show if the host has accepted or rejected the request. The Patron can also receive a notification to tell them it is their turn next.
The host interface receives the requests and allows the host to manage the order and send the notifications to the patrons. This will eliminate the need for the host to collect paper requests and refine them into order. Often the writing on these paper requests can be hard to read especially in darker environments. The App will solve this issue. The App will also eliminate the need for patrons to go searching for a songbook or waiting for one to become available.
Hosts will have the ability to manage their songbooks, venue details, hours of operation and when requests will open, all online. They will also be able to add or remove venues and manage their subscriptions easily.

Ratings and reviews

The venue that I go to near Seattle has started using it. It is a bit of a work in progress, but it is better than some, and has compelling features. It won't show places that haven't signed up for it(I'm told they can add their location on the map free of charge.) The place I go to that uses it has tons of songs and I am guessing any venue that cares enough to use this system is good. I still kinda like the slip of paper.

features do not work when searching for places using pull down menus. not enough kj's locally registered to make this an app that sits permanently on my phone. please fix for android users.

Fantastic app, makes karaoke songs easy to find and request. I wish every karaoke night would use it.

What’s new

Improvement to the map screen where multiple pins are available. There is a new message and information notifying Singers to swipe until they find the correct venue. Opt-in checkbox added where you can choose to receive future messages from your host.
