As great as the first one, then some more. Although it's fine doing them in any order, I'd still recommend playing the first one before this one if possible. p.s. That 1 last achievement, not so great, it wasn't for the additional forest level, it was for a hidden achievement in one of the original levels. I'm not saying which one and what needs to be done, this is a review. I'd have wanted to have that information beforehand. Just Google it after completing if you missed it, no stress during :)

Just like the first game, this installment offers close to no challenge and tries to grab your attention through a beautifully crafted world. I was going to knock it down to 3 stars for lack of innovation in the puzzles but what kept me from doing it was the the beautiful, voiceless story that the game takes time to paint and how it is shown through the ways the two characters interact with eachother and the world.

I loved Monument Valley 1 so I was really excited to see how MV2 was and I gotta say I was kind of disappointed. This game looks and sounds amazing but the gameplay is kind of dull. The puzzles are very similar to the first game and any new mechanics don't really get enough time to actually get complicated. If you like MV1 I'd stick with that but this is still a good buy if you want to support a fantastic small studio!
