BLE and write to data storage disclosure: The App use Bluetooth permissions to detect and communicate with nearby BlueDiamond readers. The App use “write to external storage” permission to download and save the BlueDiamond credential certificate which contains device-specific “signatures” required to communicate with the BlueDiamond readers for door access.

WIFI status data usage disclosure: App requires access to Wifi status permission for Google Places SDK which is used to know the exact location, to add it to a Pathway. App also collects Wifi SSID/BSSID for Analytics purposes.

Location data usage disclosure: The App collects location data to enable the Pathways frequently travelled route feature to function even when the App is closed or not in use

*Note: Contact Notification feature has been completely removed from BlueDiamond AppV2.5. None of the contact tracing functionality will be supported going forward from BlueDiamond App v2.5 onwards.

Ratings and reviews

The most frustrating system I've ever used. My apt. building switched to using this app to unlock the doors and it takes, at minimum, 15-30 seconds to unlock the door. I frequently have to restart my phone before I'm able to get into the building, causing me to be outside in the cold. I've also gotten logged out multiple times, requiring me to email building management to get a verification code to be able to log back in. If you or your business is looking for a reliable system, look elsewhere.

Even after giving the app all of the possible permissions and turning off paused activity of unused on android, I can't keep a credential for more than 3ish days of inactivity before being revoked. This is in comparison to others given the credential to the same room as me and having it for months or even a year after inactivity. Very annoying, a key would be better.

comically bad. regularly fails to find doors, slow to open, and sometimes drops authorizations spontaneously.

What’s new

In this version we have added additional controls for the distance used for the Phone as a badge feature. This new ability allows the user to set the distance to be short. Medium. Long. This, along with cyber security hardening, standard defect resolutions and Android 16 OS support changes.
